The City Mayor of Mati, Carlo Rabat has finally accepted the responsibility to continue develop the Menzi Beach Park and Campsite when it was turned over to his administration.
This development is in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) through the Integrated Coastal Resource Management Program (ICRMP). The ceremonial was set at Menzi Beach Resort, Barangay Dahican, City of Mati.
The said park will be the first government owned resort to rise along the white sand of Dahican Beach.
Despite of the incomplete status of the site, several events were already held in this park like the beach party called SummerFrolic2014 happened last April 2014.
" Almost 4,000 party goers from Mati and Davao City came. Each of them must have a facebook account. That is a big help to promote our city." said Mayor Rabat as he pointed out the importance of social media in promoting tourism.
